Mini-ZXS MIDI Guitar
The Mini-ZXS is only 24” long and offers a comfortable playing position for two-handed tapping, whether sitting or standing. Rather than just an ordinary tapping instrument, this might be considered the first truly optimized keyboard for guitarists.
By putting the fingerboard directly in front of the player’s body, both hands have perfect access to the neck without stretching or reaching at an awkward angle. It’s most apparent when sitting back in an easy chair, a normally difficult position for guitar-playing, especially two-hand tapping. Even a Stick is a little cumbersome in this position and usually requires a belt-hook. The Mini-ZXS has a 24-fret fingerboard installed with an added Trigger/Drum panel to the controller. The Triggers are of the Key-Trigger variety and provide a single long strip which may be tapped to trigger a “string” on the fingerboard and held to sustain notes or apply MIDI controller EFX. The 6 Expression Pads may be used for Drums, samples, MIDI EFX, sequencer controls or any combination thereof. The Mini-ZXS takes design one step further by including 6 Zero-latency String Triggers mounted adjacent to the high end of fingerboard.
