MiniZ-12
The Starr Labs MiniZ-12 adds another full 6×24 fret button neck fingerboard to the Mini Z, offering unparalleled tapping expression and creativity for composition, and performance. Think of it as 12 string guitar/piano hybrid. Rather than just an ordinary tapping instrument, the MiniZ-12 is considered the first truly optimized keyboard for guitarists. The MiniZ-12 gives musicians nearly 8 octaves of pitch (we’re talking grand piano range).
By putting the fingerboard directly in front of the player’s body, both hands have perfect access to the neck without stretching or reaching at an awkward angle. It’s most apparent when sitting back in an easy chair, a normally difficult position for guitar-playing, especially two-hand tapping.
The MiniZ-12 comes with the full Starr Labs Ztar software set, giving you full MIDI programability and functionality. The cutting edge touch-sensing keyed-fingerboard has been developed with 32 separate programmable zones, each with its own channel, voice, transposition, tuning, hammer-ons and sensitivity settings. The embedded arpeggiator as well as the programmable auto-chording system may be assigned to separate fingerboard zones and/or frets and keys . This fingerboard system is highly suited for Drum mapping when percussion or loop playback is called for, or composition when accompanying chords are needed.

The Z6S-XPA is the flagship model of the Starr Labs Ztar line of professional MIDI guitars. Starr Labs Ztar allows a guitarist to control the vast world of synthesizers, samplers, and computers, accurately and expressively. The Z6S-XPA expands on the Z6S Ztar adding powerful new features and functions geared towards providing the professional musician with ultimate control of performance, and creativity of composition.
6 velocity-sensing strings with our revised “Adaptive Static Mapping” triggering system, advanced analog front-end, and processing algorithms contribute to our fastest, most sensitive and reliable triggering system ever. The 6 Zero-latency string-triggers x 24 fret touch-sensitive color-keyed fingerboard, 6 pressure and velocity-sensing Touch-Pads, 6 fully programmable pots, and an Ableton Live control panel matrix make the Z6S-XPA the ideal guitar for playing, performing, and controlling all aspects of synthesizers, samplers, sound modules, and software!
Being truly polyphonic, the Z6S-XPA can simultaneously play multiple notes per-string, used for creating exotic harmonies and 2 hand styles that can’t be performed on a regular guitar. The strings themselves have programmable tunings, and each key on the entire fingerboard may be tuned independently as well.

The 6 programmable Rotary Pots and Touch Pads can be used for setting up and controlling

send up to 8 messages simultaneously such as Volume, EFX, modulations, LFO rate, and Filter cutoff. Finally,
the Z6S-XPA is the first MIDI guitar controller to incorporate a dedicated Ableton Live control matrix panel.

StarrSwitch 3+
Starr Switch 3+
The 3+ replaces the stock 5-way pickup selector in a standard Strat-style guitar. It features a soft-touch rubber keypad with an LED inside each button to indicate the pickup selection. The keypad mounts to the top of the guitar with 2-sided adhesive tape and connects through the slot provided for the old 5-way switch. The switching electronics circuit board mounts inside the guitar in the same location as the old 5-way. No cutting, drilling, or routing is required for the installation. Details…

The Spectrum-1, 2-stage Midrange EQ
The SP-1 is supplied with a dual-shaft pot which controls master gain, which is used for overall signal level (0-12 dB) and Overdrive at the highest settings, and a Midrange boost/cut control (-6 to +12dB). A wide variety of tonal colors is available from even stock Strat pickups by varying the adjustment of the two controls. Cut the Midrange and bump the Master Gain slightly to produce a crisp Tele sound. Keep the Gain flat but increase the Midrange control to give a fat Les Paul humbucker sound. Great for blues!!! Turn up both controls fully to unleash a full-on metal sound. At this setting the Spectrum-1 puts out a huge signal and we advise keeping the gain controls on your amp head turned low to keep the feedback within reason.
