The M3
The Ztar Mark III is our top-of-the-line MIDI guitar controller. This “hyper-guitar” is a hybrid String/Keyboard controller that carries several types of Keys, Pads, and other Sensors. Express yourself in many different ways using the endless variety of sounds found in today’s sophisticated Synth Engines.
Onboard MIDI controls to support the familiar techniques normally played on a guitar and new techniques you may have only imagined.
- Fingerboard: 6 Strings of 24 keys each. Velocity sensitive to your touch. PolyKey Afterpressure under every key. Hammer ons are programmable. Zoning, Layering, Tuning, and Mapping software changes the personality of the fretboard according to your needs.
- Triggers: Our super sensitive InBeam(tm) optical pickup captures the softest touch and the fastest picking for Fingerstyle and Plectrum-style techniques.
- Mutes: The StringTriggers incorporate a Muting effect that can be applied at any time. Muting is also done by the fretting-hand using a soft touch. Hammer-ons use a harder touch. The level that distinguishes a mute from a hammer-on/pull-off is programmable.
- Pads: The Expression-Control assembly for the Strumming hand has been completely re-designed to offer more control features in a more compact and playable configuration. 6 Pads sit under your fingers for drumming or pressure-efx and 6 Pads sit under your thumb for tapping and raking effects. Any of these Pads may be programmed to send messages from a huge list of MIDI functions including Notes, Chords, Continuous Controller effects, sequence and sample control and various triggering functions.
- Joystick: 4-directions independently programmable. Press-down “fire” button.
- “Volume” Pot: 2-section programmable. Use as MIDI Volume and ModWheel, for instance. Up to 8 channels of control for each section!
- Pedals: Sustain and Volume pedal ports.
- Padded Gig Bag, Power Supply and Cable included.
- Function Keys: Patch Up/Dn, Octave Up/Dn, TriggersOn/Off, Guitar/Poly Mode, Record, Save, Solo, Panic!
