Shipping:
UPS 3-day shipping/handling/insurance costs for most Ztars within the US is variable, and will be charged as a separate transaction reflecting the date of shipment rates.
UPS or FedEx 3-4 day service outside of the US is $150-$500 depending on the destination.
We are currently quoting 8-10 weeks delivery for most orders.
Payments:
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex and on-line payments via Paypal accepted.
International Orders may also be paid via International Money Order.
Customs requirements: Customers outside of the US are responsible for any customs charges and import duties which can vary significantly for different countries. It is much easier for a customer to find out the customs charges and procedures in his or her own country by calling the local Department of Customs. This information is not easy for us to obtain here in the US. Prices and specifications are subject to change.
Payment terms: All instruments are built to order with payment in advance. We can offer to split the purchase price for an instrument into two payments when a credit card number is provided as security. There is a 5% additional charge for this service which would amount to $100 for a $2000 instrument. Occasionally there are instruments in stock so make sure to ask if you’re interested.
Warranties: All instruments are warrantied against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 1 year (parts and labor). In the case of a warranty return, shipping costs back to the factory are paid by Starr Labs within the first 30 days only. After that time the owner covers all shipping costs for repairs made at our factory.
Returns: All Z-Tar products by Starr Labs are custom-built and made-to-order. Due to each Z-Tar instrument being made to order, we cannot accept returns of these items.
Hardware and software upgrades that are available subsequent to the date of purchase are not included free of charge. Any modifications made by the user to the instrument’s electronics, wiring, sensor hardware, or component mounting will void all warranties made or implied.
