THE Z6

The instrument has a small body featuring a shaped top. Only the Joystick and Volume Pot are installed on the top of the Z6 to keep a clean, uncluttered look. The Function Keys and Display/Programmer are mounted in the sidewall of the instrument for easy viewing and access. The Z6 is equipped with KeyTriggers, six raised 5" rubber strum-bars that may be played with the fingers by tapping down or strumming across them with a thumb or fingers. They are fast and sensitive and are also pressure-sensitive to allow additional after-pressure features to be utilized. Six 1" x 1" rubber Expression Pads are installed as well. An optional configuration (shown below ) shortens the StringTriggers to 1.5" and adds six more Expression Pads.

Z6-S

This is our most popular model and it offers most of our available hardware and software features and options. The Z6-S mounts six StringTriggers, velocity-sensing strings of any type or gauge. Our new "Adaptive Static Mapping" triggering system, advanced analog front-end, and processing algorithms contribute to our fastest, most sensitive and reliable triggering system ever.

The Z6-S has no Expression Pads installed in the standard configuration. Six Pads may be added however, with the addition of our TouchCap assembly, an array of pressure- and velocity-sensing rubber ribs that are shown mounted above the stringTrigger pickup assembly, arranged ergonomically to be played by the right hand in a similar fashion to the bank of Keys on the old SynthAxe MIDI guitar controller. A NeckSensor strip, or Breath Controller is a great addition to the Z6. This unit has a connection for the Breath-pipe mounted next to the rear strap-peg.

Z6-SP

The "P" option adds six programmable Rotary Pots that can be used for setting up and controlling synthesizer modules and computer music software such as Reason and Abelton Live. You can set volume lecvels, EFX levels, modulations, and complex controls for multiple channels.
